Bone Broth is loaded with nutrients. It's especially good for osteoporosis.
It's a powerful detoxification agent by helping the digestive track expel toxins and wastes and promotes the livers' ability to remove toxins.
It helps maintain body tissue and improves the body's use of antioxidants.
Bone broth contains glycine and potassium which supports cellular and liver detoxification.
The most important benefit of bone broth is it builds strong bones.
Bone broth diminishes inflammation, joint and arthritis pain.
There are many more benefits of bone broth. I would suggest making your own instead of buying it. Many store bought bone broths are watered down.
Here is my recipe.
Dr. Gail’s Bone Broth
2lbs organic marrow bones 1lb of oxtails
1lb organic chicken feet
1lb organic beef joints
2 teaspoons of Braggs Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
Rinse all bones, feet, tails and joints Drain and gently rinse Place bones, feet, tails and joints on a old cookie sheet (s) Roast in oven for 30 minutes at 450 degrees Remove from oven and place roasted items (including scrapings from cookie sheets
In a large clean pot add enough water to cover ingredients by 2 inches.
Add the vinegar Bring to boil. Turn heat down to simmer. Simmer 18 hours occasionally checking water level and stir. Add water when necessary, keeping it around 2 inches above ingredients.
Check marrow bones. Dislodge marrow from bones if necessary
Season to your liking Suggestions: 1 large onion, 6 cloves of garlic, 6 stalks of celery, 4 carrots, endless possibilities of herbs and spices. Continue to simmer for 6 more hours or for how long it takes to break down the oxtails and marrow.
Cool and strain.
Broth will become thick and gelled if cooled to long.
Store in glass containers. Freeze leaving 1 inch head space.
